No encoding equipment needed, no operator required. NFC encoding is done automatically after printing, within the same production workflow.

Each card is individually encoded based on data transmitted via the API. Encoding is automatically verified before shipping.

The NXP NTAG424 DNA chip is the gold standard for applications requiring a high level of security. Each NFC tap generates a unique message that is impossible to reproduce.

FAQ — NFC Encoding

Which NFC chip should I choose?

NTAG213 for simple URLs and digital business cards. NTAG216 if you need more memory (full vCards, long texts). NTAG424 DNA for advanced security (anti-cloning, authentication). Mifare 1K for compatibility with existing access control systems.

Is encoding included in the price?

NFC encoding is included in the card price. No additional fees for encoding. Only the NFC chip surcharge is added to the basic PVC card price.

How do I transmit the data to encode?

Via the REST API. When creating an order, you specify the chip type and the data to encode (URL, NDEF records, security parameters). Full documentation is available at docs.printags.com.

Is encoding verified?

Yes, every encoded card is automatically tested for reading and writing after encoding. If encoding fails, the card is automatically re-encoded. The final failure rate is 0%.

Can I mix NFC and non-NFC cards in the same order?

Yes, each card in an order can be different: plain PVC, NTAG213, NTAG216, etc. The unit price adjusts automatically based on the chip type chosen.

Are NFC cards compatible with all smartphones?

Yes, all NTAG chips (213, 216, 424) are compatible with all NFC smartphones (iPhone and Android). Mifare 1K is compatible with dedicated Mifare readers.
